Gallery shortcode

I tryed to find the documentation for the gallery shortcode, with no success.  So I tried to copy & paste the code of the gallery from the demo restaurant page, and place id's of my images - not working :-(
What happened to the gallery?

Gallery is standard wordpress option and all info about that you can read at http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/
