Iphone browser capability issue

Struggling with a browser compatibility issue for the iPhone. The site,
isn't displaying fully and you have to scroll the site horizontally to
see the content which appears to be hidden behind a bar on the right
hand side (I hope this makes sense?!). Also the footer isn't displaying
fully either, possibly due to the same issue.

This is only when I add NEW PAGES or edit a theme demo page template. Works fine until I remove/edit text, then it generates the issue.

Here are the examples of when it works, then blows out
HOME PAGE WORKS PERFECTLY ON IPHONE - http://www.kappa4team.ca/site/
PRICING WORKS PERFECTLY ON IPHONE - http://www.kappa4team.ca/site/?page_id=618
WHEN I EDIT PRICING, RESOLUTION ERROR/SIDE SCROLL - http://www.kappa4team.ca/site/?page_id=3673
NEW PAGE RESOLUTION ERROR/SIDE SCROLL - http://www.kappa4team.ca/site/?page_id=3676

Any Help on this would be greatly appreciated

  • Hi,

we tried to open your website but we can't. Look like the problem is with your server.
  • Seams to be working fine for me. Can you try again?
  • Ok, now it works. But we don't see anything wrong as you described above. Your website looks fine and is out errors. So please make a screenshot of what you mean because we really have no idea what is wrong.
  • I've checked multiple wireless devices all showing the same side scroll resolution error. I've attached examples. image
  • As we see you have responsive mode off so the website works exactly as should be. The pages you mean are wrong, display properly as this is how non-responsive mode works. Also as we see your pages that look good in your mind, got some styles for non-responsive that does not come from us. If you will send us access to your dashboard on pm then we can have a look on it but we can't guarantee that we'll find anything.
  • I see where this is going. This is not the first time using this template and something happened with the latest update to the template. The way it worked before was that the template did scale to TWO different resolutions when responsive mode was deactivated (my clients don't like having the site responsive without the option of viewing full site).

I uploaded the latest BeTheme template AND and older version of the Betheme Template and here is how the exact same page, same settings, views when you scale down your browser smaller than 1200px

  • Sorry but we are not able to tell you what has been changed during last 2 months as each week we add more and more features at users requests. If you will send us access to your dashboard and FTP on pm then we can have a look on it but we can't guarantee that we'll find anything because latest theme works properly. And we can say that the problem was 2 months ago with older version because latest looks properly.
  • I am by no stretch a programmer but I have figured out the problem. The way the site used to work was if you didn't have responsive active it would still scale down to 960px to fit all browsers and mobile devices without side scroll. What is happening with the new template css/responsive-960 and css/responsive-1240 for some reason are not being called so the site is locked at 1240px which will not fit any mobile device without side scroll. The only option is to activate responsive mode OR copy the code from css/responsive-1240 and add it to css/layout.css. Now the site will fit all mobile devices and browsers without side scroll, the way it used to work.
  • We are not sure if this is right what you wrote above and we'll be able to have a look only if you will send us access that we mentioned above. But if what you did above works fine and you are sure about that then ok. However if you will need any assistance in this case, then we need access. Thanks!
