how do i link the learn more button on my slider to the about part on the page? I know where to insure the url but how do i get the anchor link?

Go to slider settings and change button's layer link. That's all you need to do.

yes okay but what is the link that i paste in there for it to go to the anchor? how do i find the anchor link to paste essentially

All links you can find under Appearance > Menus section. But if that's not what you mean, then we do not understand your question.
