Custom font load priority is bad

Hi, I've added a google font as a custom font...I need it to be local (for people in China, they can't access google things)

So I uploaded it locally and then added it as a custom font, but custom fonts seem to be lower on priority list than normal fonts.... so when the page is rendering the fonts dont load instantly and it makes the menu up top look silly....If I use google fonts, it's fine...

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

how did you uploaded this font? Did you uploaded all possible font types?

I just put it in the theme folder and linked to it and only linked one of them. Do I need them all?

I uploaded the other font types and now it's better. Any reason why that is?

All font types are always necessary because different browsers read different font types. That's the reason why it didn't worked when you had just one file.
