Filter Changes!

I want to Change Filter, like..

Filter by  Categories Tags Authors

i want to change to

a.Language

b.Date 

c. Topic (or tagline)

How i can change the filter? i want to show filter by date in drop down, languages like tags and tops like categories..... 

guide me step by step or suggest me any plugin.
