bullet points not showing in product short description

Hi, in my product exception I'm using bullet points (ul). They are not showing on the single product page though. I've already played with css but wasn't successful. I had the same problem with the product description but managed to get around it via custom css " ul{ list-style: disc inside;}" Unfortunately that didn't do the trick for the short description part.
