External Link in Post Excerpt

Can you add a link to an external page in a post excerpt? It seems the html is striped when in this view.

Hi,

Yes this is the wordpress default action, it will strip any HTML tags from the excerpt field.

Is there anyway to over ride this so I can include links and styling in my excerpt?

Sorry but this would require heavy wordpress file modification, we do not support it.
