Updating after a long time

I havent updated for 8 months. Will I loose some information and pictures on my webstie using the last updating link which was send to me by email ?

If you update your theme nothing will be lost because all of the data is stored in the database, unless you have changed the files directly. Better make a backup before you update just to make sure.
