Blog slider using custom post type

Hi,

I encounter a problem with the blog slider.

What I'm trying to do is to show my post from custom post type in the blog slider but it's not working since I'm quite sure the slider query the default post type only.

I selected the category but yes still not working.

Is there is any way i can do with it?

    Hi,

Here is the link to my site http://miros.mykifayah.com.my

Yes sir, I'm using the element you mentioned. Try to display the custom post in the homepage but no luck. The custom post is from WP Car Manager plugin.
  • Hello,
It works, you just gave it a category to display with no posts assigned to, this is why it did not display them, cause there was nothing to display
    thanks
  • Hi,

Yes it works if i'm using default post type. In this case, i am using custom post type which is the post not listed in the Post page in Admin Panel.

This is category that i used for my custom post type. Showing that it already have 2 post (which is not listed in main post page).

Is the blog query only the 'post' type Post but not custom post type even it have category included, sir?

  • You need to assign the posts to the category you created, like I did and it is working. See: http://prntscr.com/f98su4
  • Ok, maybe we got little confused here.

If my post type is 'post', it's working charm.

But, my custom post type is 'wpcm_vehicle

Here is my custom post type content edit page

The category 'Result' also selected here.

The issue come on the blog when the article post type as stated earlier is 'wpcm_vehicle' not 'post'.

In your previous reply, you use the category 'Result' on the default post type (which is post) article.

Mine, I'm using it on the custom post type article. (which is wpcm_vehicle)

Is it can be done by the blog to also query from 'wpcm_vehicle' post type, sir?
  • Sorry but we do not support your own custom post types. This requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact with your web developer. Item Policy clearly says:
Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend contacting the author to see if they privately offer paid customisation services or checking out the great service providers on Envato Studio

    thanks
