Masonry Grid with Vimeo link that can be previewed on the grid page

Hi,

I recently purchased "Be Theme" and I've been fiddling with it for the past few hours and I cannot figure it out.  So my intention of this theme was to create something that resembles "Behance" feed.  I will be posting mainly vimeo links on my posts so I can have it masonry grid with vimeo link that can be previewed from the grid page.

So as a test, I put up some posts to see if it worked, but it ends up looking like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/adstqgww8f5i4y1/Screen%20Shot%202017-05-26%20at%201.39.22%20AM.png?dl=0

It's a screengrab from one of the live preview from Be Theme sample website.

I cannot figure this out, and I was wondering if anyone had done it with vimeo link on a masonry grid. Or thought if anyone else is looking for the solution.  Thank you for reading.

A desperate Be Theme user

If you are starting with the betheme I would suggest watching our short video tutorials. There you will find everything you need. If there will be any more questions we will be happy to help.

  • Thank you for fast reply.  But I've already watched your Be Theme related videos, and stayed up all night trying to figure it out.  No luck.  It seems like I need to put thumbnails on posts to be shown on "Recent Post" but that's not what I want to do.  At least, that's not how it seemed on that vimeo preview on your "Live Preview"  There is simply no explanation how to turn on/off featured image or how to make videos come on as a preview.  I tried modifying from a "Pre-built website" but that didn't work either.  If I come here and provide screen captures, that means I came here as a last resort, because I've tried every way possible and couldn't find answers.  I read your pdf documentation, watched every video on Be Theme on your Youtube channel, went through all the tabs on your online documentation page.  I believe your theme is one of the best themes I've seen so far, but in terms of explanation goes, it really didn't help me much.  I will probably continue searching for answers for a few hours, and get frustrated and go back to my old mediocre theme.  =*(
  • There are many options and you can get easily confused, we know. But there are many possibilities. Please tell me what do you want to acomplish and I will help you, do you want a masonry blog?
    1. Go to settings>reading and set the blog page
    2. Go to theme options>blog, portfolio&shop>blog and set the blog style.
If you want to have a featured image please set it here: http://prntscr.com/fcc3hp
If you want a video instead of the normal picture do this:
    1. Upload a video or set a youtube video ID, like here: http://prntscr.com/fcc3xw
    2. Set the post type to video, like here: http://prntscr.com/fcc44x
Now you can see the video is here: http://prntscr.com/fcc4t1
In the blog option you also have to set the option to eiter display the featured image on the blog or the video, like so: http://prntscr.com/fcc5hk

    I hope this helps
