Register license on test site and later move license to production site

Is it possible to activate a license on a test site and later unregister that license and activate it on the production site without any problems?

The production site is live with another theme so I can't mess around over there with theming and experimenting. So migrating db isn't an option.

Hi,

yes you can just deregister the key from the dev site and register it on another domain after you move the website.
