Bug: excluded category is shown in filter for blogposts (BEtheme)

We need to exclude one (or more) categories in out blogposts (those posts should not be displayed at all in the blog-section).
We were very happy to find the option in the be-themes backend to exclude categories.
But sadly this does not work.The excludet category shows up in the dropdown of the filter above the blogposts.
We can be shure, that there is no spelling mistake in the category-slug.

URL: http://liebenweiler11.de/aktuelles/
the first category "Ausflugsziele" should be excluded.

Please help us. Thank you.

yes you are right, this is a bug. We will fix that in the next patch which will be on this friday.

Hi Muffin Support,

thanks for your reply. The same bug is in the tags filter. There should be no tags available from posts excluded by the categories.

You can verify this if you go to: URL: http://liebenweiler11.de/aktuelles/ and use the Tag Filter and filter "Essen" then you find a post from a excluded category.

This is not possible because the tags could be in many posts, this is diffrent from a category.

Hi Muffin Support.
Thank you for fixing the filter-bug. It works now.
Unfortunately there is another related bug in the page navigation.
If you click on the arrows there are some blogposts of the filtered category which should not appear.
Thank you for checking this at http://liebenweiler11.de/aktuelles/ -> and then on any blogpost.
You can recognize the posts of the category "Aktuelles" which should not appear by the fact, that they are empty (only the headline is shown).

The posts posts excluded by the categories show up in the page-navigation. (The left and right arrows at the bottom of a post).

I'm not sure what you mean.

If i click on:

http://liebenweiler11.de/tischkicker-und-raumteiler-angekommen/ and then on the left arrow under the headline I am getting to http://liebenweiler11.de/landhaus-achberg/

The post http://liebenweiler11.de/landhaus-achberg/ is in the category "Ausflugsziele" which is excluded from the blogposts as described before.

This doesn't make sense. The link on the arrow button has to be fixed or the excluded category feature is not usable.

The exclude category option is for displaying the posts, the post navigation is something completly different. Sorry but this will be not be fixed, because it is not broken.

I understand that the post navigation is technically something different. But the excluded category feature ist not usable without a working post navigation.

I suggest to remove the excluded category from the theme if it's not working.

Is there another workaround?

Is there a way to remove the navigation from the blog page?

Sorry but there is no workaround. You would have to change the theme files completly.
