Adding subtext to portfolio item

How do I do this? I'm trying to make a site for a client that has a lot of portfolio items that looks like this, and he wants to add text underneath it.

Hi,
please go to theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>portfolio and set the style that supports titles. Not all do.
