Portfolio Header Image Missing

Working off the Be for Home demo as a reference (http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/home/), on the home page there are 3 links to Furniture, Lighting and Accessories under "This is what we do". When one is selected (i.e. Furniture) you are taken to http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/home/portfolio-types/furniture/ which selects and displays items only in that category, effectively using the Portfolio Template.

My question is, how can this template be edited? I am trying to get a background image for the header to display.

Sorry but we do not quite understand. You are talking about the portfolio and you want a background image for header? Please explain.

I am trying to ask in general how to modify a template (which can be selected in Page Attributes when creating/modifying a page), in my case specifically the Portfolio template which I believe would be here--> ../wp-content/themes/betheme/template-portfolio.php

Yes, you can change the portfolios and other templates, they are all located in the main betheme folder. We unfortunatelly do not support these kind of changes.

If you don't support these changes how are we supposed to modify your existing demos to fit our needs?

By using the theme options and the muffin builer, not changing the theme files directly.
