Adding external javascript

Is there no way to add a js plugin to the theme?
I tried to add the plugin file via theme-head.php but that causes problems in the theme.
Pasting the whole plugin code into the custom JS area doesn't work, that area disappears upon doing that. Probably requires too much memory to parse it from the admin.

  • Hi,

What you ask for, requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact with your web developer. Item Policy clearly says:
Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend contacting the author to see if they privately offer paid customisation services or checking out the great service providers on Envato Studio

    thanks

Strange I'm talking about adding a .js library to the theme which is one of the most basic customizations on wordpress, which Bethemes took away and hid it somewhere.
I'm a developer I'm just asking if you could point me to the right file/line of code so that I can insert that one line of code.

    Thanks

  • The main file, which is betheme/js/scripts.js is responsible for almost all JS in the theme.
