Update theme

Hi, I'm going to update my BeTheme, how do I do that? I'm running version 16.2 right now.
Will it ruin anything in my current design?

Hi,
please always make a backup of the website.
If you want to update, please delete the theme from your theme folder and download the newest version of betheme from themeforest.
From version 20.0 + you are able to update the theme from the wordpress dashboard.

I have already made backup and download the latest version of BeTheme.
But where do I delete my current theme? and should I delete BeTheme Child and BeTheme?

I'm ready to update my BeTheme, but I'm using Child Themes, so which should I update and how can I do it?
Can I do it directly in WordPress or should I do it through FTP

Do not touch the child theme, only update the parent theme. Just go to your FTP and remove the theme from the themes folder. Then add a new version thru FTP or thru the wordpress themes panel.

You can completly delete the theme folder and install it again. Everything is kept in the database.
Ofcourse if you change the theme files directly then you will lose your changes.
