Social icons won't change color / hover color despite theme option updates

No matter how I change the social icon and link colors in theme settings, the social icons in the menu are still light grey and hard to see and hover white. I changed in theme settings to dark grey and hover black, but it won't work. I did this yesterday, cleaned cache, and checked from various internet connections and am still seeing the light grey/white. Please help! Thanks!

Ok where do I chance the colors for Info Box (icon and background) for that item? Can't find that anywhere!!!!!

Also how do I change the awful read more button at the bottom of the porfolio page? I'd like to just remove it. Thanks!

AND I can't get image gallery to work please help. Same page - trying to add image gallery post to the tack trunk page.

Last thing - need to remove date from related posts as well.

1. You can change only the background for the infobox in theme options>colors>shortcodes.
2.  You can use this custom css

.portfolio .desc a.button {
	display:none !important;
}

3. Where did you try? Have you used the muffin builder gallery or the wordpress gallery?

Everything is in the muffin builder gallery. Thanks that code works. Stinks I can't change the the background on the check box but that's ok. Thank you!
