Layouts does not work for single blog post

Hello,
can't make working layouts for single blog posts. Correct ID is assigned, but all layout options are ignored.
Its only for blog posts.  I'm using it for single pages as well and it works correctly.

I have probably realized whats the problem. My blog post is custom post type. Thats why its not working. If I create classic post, its working.

Any idea how to assign layout to custom post type as well?

So unfortunately for Custom post type it is not possible because layouts works only with our post types.

would be possible to modify some core files to accept custom post types as well. I can do it by myself, just point me to correct direction.
