Putting advertising graphic fixed on top

Is there a way to achieve the following:
A graphic (Sales Ad) should be positioned fixed at top of the page and should stay there while scrolling.
I thought putting something into the footer with css-code "position: absolute" would work, but this puts the element only to the top of the footer area.

sorry but nothing of that kind will be possible with the theme options.
You can make the footer fixed, there is an option to set it fixed in theme options>footer
