Custom Links (menu) NEW TAB instead of SAME

Hi!

Atm in menus when I add a "custom link" (in appearance -> menus -> custom link) it opens the same tab in the browser. I would like it to open a new tab. I tried adding <a href="URL" target="_blank">TITLE</a> in the "url" in custom link, but it didnt work.

And click on "CUSTOMLINK TEST" in the menu. Notice how it opens the same tab? I want it to open a new tab, as if with target="_blank".

There is an option for that in appaerance>menus. You have to first click on page options, screen: http://prntscr.com/i143kh and enable 'link target' option.
The option will apear next to each menu item.
