How can I remove the featured image on the portfolio like I would on the blog?

I would like to show the featured image on the main page of the portfolio, but on the individual portfolio page, I would like to use the muffin builder to layout the page and images. Is it possible to disable the featured image in the portfolio page options like the blog has?

you can do that by choosing a template 'builder' from the template dropdown.
It is in the page options.
