Adjusting menu style causes Rev Slider to crop

edited March 2018 in Theme support
Hi, I've just started jumping in to build a site for a client using BeTheme/MuffinBuilder. Unfortunately I've rapidly run into a problem – when I adjust the Header style under BeTheme > Theme Options > Header & Sub-header, the Revolution Slider I have playing on the front page crops short, and a white bar appears at the bottom of the page. This happens when I change to several of the menu items other than the default Classic style, specifically the Modern style that I want to use, or when I add transparency to the header, even using the Classic style.

Edit: one other thing is that the header seems to be stuck above (ie, covering) the content on the non-Home pages. Not sure why this is and would love if anyone could shed some light on it.

Edit2: I seem to have sorted the original problem by editing the Revolution Slider; under Slider Settings > Slide Layout > Containers, I removed '#Top_bar' which is there by default.
