Responsive logo loads and then is replaced by normal logo once page load is complete

edited March 2018 in Theme support
Running most recent build of beTheme v20.8.8.2. on www.human-ism.com. I've added a responsive logo that's 110x21px to the "Responsive" section of beTheme options, and pages will actually load this tiny logo when the width is mobile size. However, once the page completes loading, the normal logo replaces the Responsive logo, overflowing the menu and part of the page. This happens on Chrome and Firefox on Windows and Android. Edge seems to be okay.

This is in a brand new install of Wordpress and beTheme on Wordpress 4.9.4.

    HI,
we do not see this strage behaviour on any browser. This may be caused by a slow internet conntection or some plugin loading. We suggest using a preloader if it bothers you.
    thanks

I worked around this by specifying a very small "retina" image for the logos in the main logo and the responsive theme section.

It's still a bug, and most browsers definitely replace the responsive image with the 'retina' image once the page is done loading.

You can test this by inserting a HUGE image for the retina image.  You have to size down the image so small that it's actually smaller than the space for the logo for it not to overflow.  a logo 300x51 was too large.
  • Like we said, it all depends on the internet speed, and the browser.
There is no way of skipping this other than using a preloader.
    thanks
