PHP Max Input Vars

In my theme it shows PHP Max Input Vars set at 1000 with 5000 being required. I went into PHP.ini and they are actually set at 6000. Why is the theme saying its at 1000?

Hi,
you should contact your hosting provider because it seems that he is blocking those changes in the php.ini file.
