Background Image resolution problem from desktop to phone

Hi there.  I purchased BETheme a few years ago and have loved every bit of it except for one thing I've never figured out - and it never bothered me until now but now I've got to find a fix.

My background image is 1920 as requested by the theme in MuffinBuilder and displays correctly on a desktop - pretty much ANY desktop regardless of their default resolution, but it truncates both edges on phones - ALL phones and ALL tablets.

I recently changed my logo with a bit of a refresh and uploaded the 1920 version of it, published the change and it displays correctly on desktop just like always but looks worse than ever on phones.  I really need some help to figure out what I'm missing please.  I figure it should be pretty easy since no one else in here has complained about this - it's got to be something I've done and just don't know.

The website is http://cedarcitycomputers.com

Thanks in advance!

  • HI,
do you mean that the background image you have set does not scale with the screen size?
HTML background are not responsive unless you set the background size property to contain.
If you just want to use an image there please add a simple image not a background.
    thanks
  • Thank you for the input so far!

I do want it to scale depending on which device it's viewed on.  I'm not a web developer and struggled my way through making my own website and have missed something that I view as important.

So how do I set the background size property?  I would like the logo itself to scale depending on device and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a background or a simple image as you suggested...
  • You can change it in the section edit panel, http://prntscr.com/izrtuq
You might have to disable the parallax, try it.
    thanks
