After removing footer white space is left

I removed the footer with "#Footer { display: none; }". This worked, but created a new problem. After the removement there is a white space left. (See here: https://ibb.co/hCzwPH) I guess It is because of the ::after and ::before selector of the element "#footer". I tried a lot of things, but nothing worked.

Your help would be appreciated, thank you.

I solved the problem. I gave my content box "{ margin-bottom: -35px; }". Not a really great solution, but it works for the one site I needed it for.
