Subpage creation issue with theme, cant create numbered sub-subpages (ex: root.com/page/83/)

Hello, I am running into an issue with your theme where when creating subpages, things like domain.com/subpage/7 cannot be created and instead is renamed /7-2/

One thing I noticed is on all child pages of top level pages (with exception of root) this happens. An example:

http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/ - this is the root page (before splash was created)

All of the following links below will allow you to also access the /shortcodes/ page above:

Therefore, if you have a page for a product named 83, the URL of http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/shortcodes/83/ cannot be created. Is there a reason theme is configured this way?

  • I've tested this on multiple sites using this theme as well as your own demo (links above)
  • Looks like this is an actual WordPress thing and pages cannot use numbers by themselves as page names without some other kind of text with it. Posts on the otherhand can use just numbers.
  • Hi,
if you create a page and it gives it another slug name (home-2 instead of home) then it means that this page with the slug name already exists. You need to remove it from the trash/deleted pages as well to free the slug name. However after testing this rule does not apply.
It does the same when we test it, it also does the same without the betheme activated so it is a wordpress issue.
    thanks
