mail chimp connection via maintenance pro plugin

Where can I paste this code from mailchimp to add the email list component of the maintenance Pro plug in.

I enter the api and list id but it comes up as not being able to connect.

Have tried Betheme options -  SEO, Google Analytics and Java script sections but none of them work.

My api and list id work via the 'mailchimp for WP' plugin but I want a sign up form on my coming soon page.
