Cannot Install or Update LayerSlider

This has been a problem for weeks. All I want to do is update LayerSlider. This is the message I get:

The package could not be installed. The plugin contains no files.

It's not my license key. I have three websites powered by Betheme, and I purchased a separate theme license for each. All three sites have problems updating LayerSlider, and it seems there are a number of other forum questions about updating these plugins.

Please advise.

Try to disable all plugins, then update the layerslider.
Also deregistering and registering the theme could help.
