I'm a web designer and developing a website for a client. I plan to install theme at my server first for development and until complete only I will migrate it to client's server. But at my server I have to registered the theme already in order to use the pre-built theme, the question will it still work after I migrate to client's server? Do I have to register again after migration and can the code work?

you can register the website on your server and when the website is ready you have to deregister it, move it and then register it on the clients server/domain.
