How to add a Xing icon to the Social Icons
  • Hello folks,

    I need to add an icon for xing in the Social Icon bar. Currently it isn't supported by the socialico font. How can I manually add an icon there? It is btw included in the fontawesome font by fa-xing. Unfortunately I don't know how to inject it right there.

    Your help would be much appreciated! Perhaps it might also make sense to provide the possibility to add custom icons as Social Icons. I'm quite sure I won't be the last guy with a icon that isn't available there ;-)

  • Thx a lot! I just done that and I think it looks good enough.

    Only problem was: icons are now too big as they grab the font size from fontawesome. I fixed that by adding the following to custom css:

    i.fa-xing {
    font-size: 0.75em;
    }

    i.fa-linkedin {
    font-size: 0.75em;
    }

    Of course this is a little dirty but as I don't use the icons anywhere else it works just fine ;-) As you see I also replaced the linkedin icon with the one from fontawesome so it looks more consistent.
