Problem with Revolution Slider when using Multisite for WordPress.
  • If you use multisite for wordpress and you have a problem with sliders that you created, because you don`t see them in Slider section while create/edit page, it means that the problem is with your database. Multisite can`t recognize properly prefixes for tables in database and that`s why you need to make one change.

    1) In functions/meta-functions.php file, please find below code:

    $table_name = $wpdb->base_prefix . "revslider_sliders";

    2) and replace it with below code:

    $table_name = "YOURPREFIX_revslider_sliders";

  • Hi,

    Understand making the change, however the 'YOURPREFIX', what does this reference and how does one know the prefix to use?  Would appreciate your insight, seeing the issue of not being able to select the slider in edit mode as you mentioned.

    Thanks

  • The problem is not being able to select the slider, we are not experts in databases and just wanted to install your theme.  Can you not provide additional steps as to what we need to look for when it comes to the prefix?

    Or is there another solution to correct the slider issue in a Multi-site setup, will your themes support multi-site in the future?  This is the only one we have an issue with, all themes provided by other designers are working just fine.

  • Okay, the problem is fixed by assigning the prefix to the specific site ID in the DB tables, such as (wp_12).  Providing a few additional details of where to look within the database would be very helpful and this is all we're looking for;)   Thanks
