Didn't Deregister Theme Before Changing Domain Name

Hi, I built out a website for a client and then had to change the domain name at the end of the project, however, now I am seeing that I was supposed to deregister my theme and delete all theme files. 

Is there any way to change the domain registration without having to do that? If I deregister my theme and change it to the new domain will is take down my whole site?

hey,

deregistering the theme will not lead to any changes in the website behaviour, do not worry.

Please deregister your key and then register it again.

If I deregister to I have to remove any files or do I simply deregister and register again?

You can simply deregister and register again.

If you want to move all of the website files, then remember to use the duplicator plugin:

Okay thanks. Do I need to move all website files? I noticed in the instructions when I am about to deregister the theme, it says "Please remember to delete all theme files before deregistration" so that's why I was wondering if it is necessary to do anything to the files.

No, you don't have to remove these files - but you have to deregister this website from the dashboard of the website, not the api tool.
