Can't seem to update an old version of the theme

Hi,

I have a site running the latest version of wordpress together with the BeTheme. On that site I have an old version of the BeTheme version 11.0.

But I can't update it, normally like on my other sites with BeTheme under the update page it mentions it when there's an update, on this site it doesn't. I can't find any option to update the theme.
Normally I would just delete the theme and install the latest version but I'm afraid if I do this I will lose all the work I've done on the pages with the muffin builder.

Any idea on how I best proceed?

  • Hello,
you are correct, you should update it by removing the old theme and installing the new one.
Normally, it will not remove any content since it is all stored in the database.
    Please try this:
    1. Make a copy of the website and install it under a subdomain for testing
    2. Disable all of your plugins
    3. Remove the theme folder and install the newest version of the theme.

    thanks
  • Hi,

Thank you so much, it's fixed!
I didn't know that I wasn't going to lose the data from the builder, great!
