If your RevSlider is activated, you should be able to set the slider while editing the page, take a look at the screenshot:

It is, it's just asking you for the premium code, which is not required for fully-functional revolution slider, you can just close it.

You can check, if the RevSlider plugin is turned on in Plugins > Installed Plugins
