Can't upgrade Muffin Builder

Hello,
We purchased Betheme awhile ago, and we updated the theme today because php was upgraded on our server. When we try to upgrade muffin builder it asks for a license activation. But it was included with Betheme so we don't have a license. What do we do?

  • When viewing the site on the front end, we are also getting this error and nothing else:

    Error thrown

    Call to undefined function mfn_opts_show()

  • Hi,
Please provide us with your hosting environment settings, to do that please follow these steps:
    1) Go to the Wordpress > Tools > Site Health http://prntscr.com/nlyb22
    2) Click at the “Info” on the top of the page and open the “Server” tab http://prntscr.com/nlybm2
    3) Take a screenshot of the content inside that ‘Server’ tab http://prntscr.com/nlybyr
Please make sure you are using Wordpress 5.2 or later, previous versions did not have this option built in.
Please use snag.gy or pasteboard.co to host the screenshot and send us the link to it.
    Thanks
  • Our developer was able to work on fixing the initial issue, but another issue that is happening after the upgrade is when we try to "Update" a page we get this error, so we can no longer update pages.

    Error thrown

  • Just clarifying we are still unable to update Muffin builder. What steps are we to take to update? There is no visual composer or plugins folder when downloading the bethemes.zip
  • You must have had an old version.
Are you using a child theme?
If not, please go to your FTP themes folder and remove the betheme folder completly, then manually install the newest version.
Make sure to remove the old files completly.

Also, try to disable all of your plugins while udating.

The bundled plugins are not in the package, there are available from the wordpress admin dashboard. In wordpress admin>betheme>install plugins.

    thanks
  • Yes, we are using a child theme. We installed the new child theme, removed old betheme folder, then manually upgraded.

Rev slider and layer slider update, but muffin builder says asks for licence activation so we still can't update. What do we do?

  • Hello,
you do not need to install a child theme if you do not plan to change the theme files directly.
What happens now when you try to update? Please make screenshots with the errors.
Also, change from child to parent theme, and then try to update.
This might be an issue with the child theme.
    thanks
  • I enabled the regular theme. When I click "Update" on the visual composer it leads to this: https://snipboard.io/OB4Qnz.jpg

When I click "Settings" it leads to this: https://snipboard.io/h8Mv1y.jpg

I bought the Betheme through envato with visual composer bundled, so I don't know what to put there.
  • Hello,
bundled plugins follow somwhat diffferent rules.
You install/update them only from wordpress>betheme>install plugins, not from the main wordpress plugin directory.
    thanks
  • Yes, that's what I did and it's showing the errors. What do we do? Or do we get a refund for the Betheme?
  • Hey,

Please send us WordPress dashboard access privately thru the contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.
