Add tags to portfolio items or filters by subcategories

Hi,
is there a way to add tags to portfolio items? Not only categories? Or view portfolio items that match more than 1 category.

I need to filters portfolio items by subcategories, or by tags if it's possible to add them.

For example:
I have a page of sector "Power" and I would view in filter: "finned coils" - "Heat exchange coils" - "other1" - "other2" 
The same filter is view in that sector like in other sector: Food - Chemical- etc.

So when I click Finned coils I would view a product that is in the category "Power" - "finned coils".

Is there a way to do that?

Hello,
Well, there is no option to add tags, but can create subcategories.
You just need to go to "Porfolio > Portfolio categories" and there you will be able to create them.

Yes, I create theme.
But, can I filters only subcategory of a principal category?

Sorry, but there is no option to filter like you said.
You would have to do modifications in Theme files, but we do not provide help with that.
