How can I customise
icon
. How to change color, form, hover effect and background?

Hi,
what you can do is change color and it's size. You can not change anything else. To change those 2 attributes, you need to use extra css:
.the-icons.span3 [class^="icon-"] { font-size: 25px !important; color: #000 !important; }
