theme-shortcodes.php not working in child theme

Hi There, 

I need to change some things in the Testimonials area in

theme-shortcodes.php

I have managed to find everything, and copied the file to my child theme folder/functions. But I can not see the changes in frontend, unless i make them in the original file. Can you help?

    Hi Andi,

    what you ask for requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact with your web developer.

    Thanx for coming back so quickly. So does this mean you are not allowed to answer the question why the child theme doesn't work, or I am not allowed to make any changes to your files - even minor like shifting things around?

    Yes, we are allowed to answer of course. If that won't be possible, we would be able to tell you. But because we wrote that files customization are not allowed, it means that what you ask for, requires files customization and it works of course because our theme was prepared to be compatible with child themes. We can only give you link to child theme https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes where everything has been explained and nothing else except that. Please understand the rules and notice that we do not do any exceptions.
