Removing "category" from URL
Hi,
We are trying to remove the word 'category' from the blog URL structure, and replace the word 'category' by the category name.
Example from our website: http://www.redmeters.com/blog/mining/amazing-mining-density/
mining is the category.
We got it as far as the URL is showing correctly, but the breadcrumbs at the top, when you go one step back, will again revert to
(notice that word /category/ in there again)
I do not understand why the theme would add a redundant word in a URL??
You will notice that we experimented with naming Categories Blog and Mining.
That has no effect whatsoever and either category go nowhere.
Our question: how we can remove that word 'category' out of a URL.
Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone help?
We have also created a number of categories, none of which show up under the categories drop down.

this word is extremely necessary and there is no way to remove it. So you can not remove it unfortunately.
