menu and header styles issue

Hi there,

I recently re-purchased BeTheme for another project. I am using Be-Exposure demo theme as my base. I have two questions

1) When I imported the demo data, the menu and header logo look crooked and not aligned like on your demo site. How can I fix this?

http://brandontsai.me/about/   - notice that the logo is much smaller and the menu and logo are not aligned.
http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/exposure/  - this is from your website

2) After clicking the menu, there are hover effects on each of the menu list items. When I hover, "[ ]" brackets appear and surround the list item. Where do I go to edit the style of the list item? I do not want to have brackets. I looked on Be Options under CSS/Javascript but there is no styling of the menu items there. Can you direct me on where to go edit the style of the menu items?

thanks!

  • Hi,

    1) Please make sure that you don't have any limits on server side under Appearance > System Status section. If you got some limits, you need to contact with your admin OR you can try to import settings manually.

    2) To remove those brackets, you need to use extra css:
    #overlay-menu ul li a::before, #overlay-menu ul li a::after { display: none !important; }

    Hello,

Regarding the menu, it is still behaving strangely. I have tried importing settings manually but it did not work. Also the admin removed the server side limits.

Look at the logo while you resize the page width. There are two problems (check via link)

    1) The logo misaligned with the menu bar and appears smaller than it does on the betheme-exposure demo site.

    2) When you change the width of the browser, the logo is not responsive, it stretches out strangely.

Can you provide instructions on how to fix the issue? I have tried installing betheme manually and also contacted my admin but it has not helped.
  • 1) If current logo size is not big enough for you, we suggest to set it's size under Theme options > Global > General section where Advanced options are.

    2) Yes, the logo is responsive. We do not see any weird or wrong behave here. http://pasteboard.co/1Zia78OY.png - this is how it looks like.

Thanks for the suggestion about advanced options.

The issue with the logo is still there. Try opening the webpage on the browser (I am using chrome and safari). After opening, drag the window width narrower, and then drag it wider. The logo does not properly resize like it should while the window is being actively resized. You'll see that as you are resizing the window width the logo becomes strangely squashed.  Let me know if you need any more explanation

    thanks !
  • Please send us a screenshot of how it looks like on your side then.
  • Here are two screenshots:

First screenshot: opening the page on regular web browser

Second screenshot: dragging the viewport to a more narrow width

the logo only becomes correct AFTER you refresh the page in the new width.

  • Please tell us what computer you use, what system and what browser. Because we did checked your site on several different computers (macbooks and pc's) and we do not see such behave.

I use a macbook pro OSx El Capitan. For the browser I use Chrome and Safari. Again, this happens when I drag the screen to resize it. After refreshing the screen, the logo resizes correctly.

I have downloaded the latest versions of safari and chrome. I love everything about BeTheme so far. This is the only issue I've come across so I hope you can help. I've already purchases two licenses and started recommending BeTheme to others until this issue happened.

    thanks!
  • So we did checked your site on MacBook pro as well with Retina display and did not noticed anything like that. We did checked in the same browsers: Safari and Chrome but nothing. It does not look the same as on your screenshots. And until we are unable to re-create this issue on our side, we have no idea what might be wrong. Maybe the problem is on your end only?

Interesting, the problem also occurs on Firefox. I checked on another computer. This only happens when you're dragging the screen and the logo is resizing in real-time. Can you make a GIF of how you're testing the problem and send it to me?

When you are checking, are you dragging the viewport to wider and narrower widths?
  • @btsai628 Yes, this is how we exactly did it.
