Cant choose sidebar on Blog page

I setup my blog page just like the documentation describes but I can't select a sidebar on my blog page. I click the dropdown and it doesn't do anything. I have a widget in the "blog" sidebar. I have "blog" chosen as the post pages in settings>reading. I have configured the blog section in the theme options. I have
"sidebar right" selected on the page options for the blog page.

if you created sidebars under Theme options > Sidebars section and sidebars are invisible under Page Options section, you need to deactivate plugins first to check if one of them is not the culprit. If this won't help, then we suggest to remove theme and upload theme files via FTP once again.
