Betheme Modifications & Future Updates
I recently purchased the Betheme in hopes of being able to mix certain aspects of different themes into one theme through the muffin builder or short codes provided, as no one demo theme has been to my complete liking. However, in doing more research, quite a few people seem to note that doing so would create issues when new updates are issued, and that if I wanted to have the website updated, I would have to forgo all of my modifications. I do not have any working knowledge of coding, just was hoping to create what I want with the builder and the short codes, as that is how the themed was advertised. So the two question I would like to know are as follows:
1. What is the proper way to modify an existing them without creating future update issues? I have heard of child themes, but that is a little above my head.
2. If I do not use any of the demo themes, and only use the muffin builder to create my website, will that allow it to receive future updates?

1. If you heard about child theme, read https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and it's above your head, we suggest to do not touch any modification and contact with your developer instead.
2. Nothing built with Muffin Builder won't change after the updates. All settings and builder content is stored in database which does not change while theme update.
