Footer underlapping Content

edited May 2016 in Theme support
Whilst "Stick to bottom if content is too short" is a handy feature of the Footer section it does not come without headaches:
from time to time it gets drawn behind the content, please see "http://develop.seed.de.com/index.php/directors/" if the window is about 1000 px high.

Is there a fix?

  • Hi Ben,

we did checked it on windows like 1000px and did not noticed anything like that. http://pasteboard.co/Q6HTqgI.png - this is how it looks like on 1000px of window.
  • I tried it on OSX Safari (both latest versions) - i will check other browsers and report back.
  • We checked it in Safari as well with same result as we presented above on screenshot.

I checked on Chrome and Firefox. Firefox is fine with no Error - But Chrome has the error sometimes.
It seem as if the error only apears if the page is loaded upon frs start of the browser - if the page is reloded there is no error.
    I am on OSX 10.11.4 and Safari 9.1.1, Chrome 50.0.2661.94 (64-bit) and Firefox 46.0.1.

    This is Chrome:

I assume it has to do with some kind of latency of the images to be loaded. I suspect the position of the footer is determined before all images are loaded - and thus the size of the content is not final at that time.
  • We are on the same OSX and Chrome and did not noticed anything like that. Tried on different computers as well. So we really can't re-create this issue on our side.
