Hello,

There seems to be padding on the image box only on the tablet layout only. Is there any way I can remove this?

So these are default margins that comes from columns by default. And to remove them from tablets, you need to use the following css:

@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 959px) {
    .column_image {
        margin: 0 0 40px !important;
        width: 100% !important;
    }
}
