FAVICON - Default first Default after
Hi Muffins,
I have seen in several webs that the betheme favicon shows up first and after a few seconds it changes to the custom favicon.
Generally you would add the favicon on options> and also in customise>site identity (at least in wp 4.6) and if you are wonderful you may also add some lines and a folder containing all the possible icons for different devices so that there is always a icon available for safari,chrome,etc,etc
So:
Q1: Can it be removed by adding a line of code? (so that it wont go to betheme default icon first)
Q2: Where is the default betheme icon located?
Q3: What is, in your opinion, the best practice/website to check and generate favicon

the favicon can be changed under Theme options > Global > General section. We did checked on our end, and it does not work as you said. If you will upload own favicon, the default one is being removed. But if you would like to take a look into code, the files responsible for favicon is functions/theme-head.php file.
