Menu removed, but pages still show. New pages added automatically.

Hi

Just installed and uploaded Interactive demo content (DeniaCreative.com). All good so far except the top menu - for the time being I don't want one, yet despite removing it under 'Appearance' it's still there. I can remove the individual pages, of course, but every time I add a new one, it pops up in the menu. How can I stop this?

Looks like you didn't set the menu under Appearance > Menus > Manage locations section and that's why all pages display.

OK. I see. I thought removing the menu would work, but you must have a menu, even if it is blank.

It's required by Wordpress itself.
