This grey are is how Visual Composer works and this is one of the reasons why we recommend to use Muffin Builder instead. Of course you can remove this area with custom css but we can not guarantee that this css wouldn't break something else because VC is not easy plugin when it comes to customization.
Why my other page doesn't appear like this: http://www.luovagreippi.fi/Vicera/ As you can see there is non grey areas. If I remember right, first it appeared same way. Then I accidentally changed some settings (maybe in betheme options).
I don't buy this argument: "this grey are is how Visual composer works". I have Visual Composer in Total theme and it have never leaved those grey areas. I suppose that there is the way to take grey's away manually.
Ok, if you do not buy this argument, then we need to explain it from the other side. We will try to explain it the best as we can.
If you look at http://pasteboard.co/bFM4RdNhg.png and http://pasteboard.co/bFMrsmQQ5.png (check the path where from this css come from) you will see that the css we told you above, comes from VC plugin itself and it has nothing to theme. Please understand the version of Visual Composer plugin bundled into theme is an original version that plugin's author sells as separate plugin. We don't know if Total provides modified version just because it's the only builder they have but as BeTheme author, we are not allowed to do any modification in plugin because it simply does not belong to us.

Also, from what we see, on http://www.luovagreippi.fi/Vicera/ you are using latest version of Visual Composer plugin (4.12) which is a little bit different from the version used on http://www.luovagreippi.fi/etusivu/ (4.7.4). We are not sure if this would help, but you should start from plugin update to recent version. For more details about VC update, please visit http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/15314/how-to-update-visual-composer-visual-composer-plugin-update
Hope this explanation would be more clearer.
Thanks!
