Portfolio Layout Template

Good day, is it possible to create custom Templates for Portoflio items? Currently if I go to Portfolio Item Options > Layout > Template, there are only three options: Default Tempalte, Builder, Intro Header. Is there a place that I can go and build a custom template and use it here? I have tried building a Template through Templates (Post Type - in the left menu navigation of Wordpress) but no template appears in the dropdown. Please can you assist?
