Blog grid not showing images for some blogs

On my main blog page the grid is showing the first  5 blog images, but the subsequent blog images are only showing a blue box where the picture should be.  I've reviewed the blog posts that these slots link to and they each have their respective images on the actual post. A comparison between blog posts that the grid shows the image for and posts that have the blue box in the grid show no differences.  Any ideas?
